Cantabria adds 847 cases of coronavirus this Sunday, detected on January 1 , and although they are less than those recorded the day before and previous days - in which the barrier of one thousand infections was exceeded and daily records were broken - they increase the incidence accumulated, which in fourteen days advances towards two thousand infected per hundred thousand inhabitants and approaches 1,300 in seven days.

In addition, those hospitalized for the virus have risen to Phone Number List  134, ten more, of which 22 are in the intensive care unit, one more, according to the latest balance from the Ministry of Health.

Regarding community transmission, the region has registered 847 more daily cases, which rise to 7,516 in the last week and 11,366 if the previous week is also taken into account.

Thus, the incidence is 1,937 cases in 14 days and 1,277 in seven. And among those over 65 years of age it stands at 843 and 609 infections, respectively.

The trend is upward, at 93 percent, and the positivity of the tests carried out is also at 26.6%, two points more than the previous day.



Regarding hospitalization, there are 134 people admitted - ten more -, of which 22 are in the ICU, one more. In this way, bed occupancy has risen to 8.5%, and the admission rate in the last 7 days has risen half a point, to 22.6%.

Of those hospitalized, 92 are admitted to the Marqués de Valdecilla, including 22 in the ICU; nine in Sierrallana; and eleven in Laredo.

With all this data, Cantabria remains at level 3 (high risk) of coronavirus alert. In the last day there have been no new fatalities to regret, which remain at 635 so far in the pandemic.
